What Makes Us Different

Chicago Photo Concepts was founded from a love of finding the beauty, characteristics, and visual stories in what makes Chicago one of the world's most wonderful cities. As a photographer, I (Raf) am able to transform ordinary Chicago structures into works of art that open up new ways of seeing the city's architecture, landscapes, and urban surroundings.

Each photo that I take starts with a simple idea: to produce photographs that will help people appreciate the areas they normally go about their daily lives without giving much thought to.

Who Is Raf Winterpacht

For a very long time, photography has been something beyond just a pastime for me — it is a method of creative expression and a means of telling stories visually. My main area of interest is cityscapes, architecture, landscapes, and urban exploration, which gives me the opportunity to find those elements where there is great lighting, composition, and atmosphere.

My body of work represents both well known Chicago icons, and less known aspects of the city. In addition to showing many parts of the city from different vantage points, my images also show how the city can look at times like dawn and dusk when the normal hustle and bustle is not present.
Over many years of walking along the riverside walkways, parks, street corners, bridges, and other sites of historical significance, I have gained a deeper understanding of the history behind this city, and the evolving skyline.

Throughout my career, I’ve curated a large collection of fine-art photographs that were specifically made available for residential interiors, business and office decor, corporate event spaces, personal collections and regional art galleries. Each photographic piece was created with consideration to both artistic vision and print quality, allowing them to complement interior design elements and reflect the classic elegance of Chicago.

There is no shortage of inspirational ideas. This city is famous worldwide for its innovative architecture, diverse neighborhoods, lakeshore scenery and changing seasonal moods. These provide boundless avenues for artistic expression.
